Suburban Expands Product Line With New 42,000 Btu/H On-Demand Water Heater
DAYTON, Tenn. – Suburban, an Airxcel brand, announced a key expansion to their water heater product line with the new IW42, a 42,000 BTU/h on-demand water heater that utilizes standard component sizes for easy installation.
The IW42 fits into the same sidewall opening as 6-gallon tank and tankless water heater models. This allows OEMs and builders to switch from a tank to an on-demand water heater without having to change their design.
“Because the IW42 has a comparable footprint to existing tankless and 6-gallon models, the unit is ideal for an extensive range of coaches and towable trailers that are already set-up for this size of water heater,” explained Jeff Cowan, National OEM Sales Manager. “It’s a product whose development was born from demand but whose application is now ever expanding.”
Filling a crucial need in the market, the IW42 provides RVers with an endless supply of hot water. The IW42 automatically adjusts BTU/h input to maintain a consistent water temperature output with quiet operation. There is freeze protection built into the innovative design topped with an attractive door in either black or white that comes included with the unit. Installation is easy with the IW42 because it was intentionally designed to be compatible with existing component dimensions.
“Part of being a committed partner to our customers is to be responsive to their needs on an on-going basis,” said Cowan. “When our OEM partners told us they needed a lower capacity unit we responded and challenged Suburban engineers to design a system that was efficient, stylish and worked within existing design specifications. They answered that challenge with the new IW42.”
