Postle Aluminum Increases Extrusion Capacity to Support OEM Expansion and Larger Profile Production
ELKHART, Ind. – Postle Aluminum Co., a leading provider of aluminum solutions, announced the installation of two new aluminum extrusion presses, significantly expanding capacity to support existing customers, enter new markets, and strengthen long-term supply assurance for OEM partners.
“This investment is about being ready for our customers, now and in the future,” said Mark Smith, President, Postle Aluminum. “As the broader industry has experienced shifts, our customers have continued to lean into Postle. We’re making this investment now to ensure we have the capacity, capabilities, and reliability to support their growth without interruption. When our customers are ready to go, we want to be ready to provide them with the solutions they need.”
Expanding Extrusion Capacity with Larger Presses and New Profile Capabilities
The new 10-inch press represents an expansion in Postle Aluminum’s technical capabilities, enabling higher efficiency on existing profiles while opening opportunities for new, larger and more complex shapes. The press also allows Postle to expand into hard alloy production, including 6061 aluminum, supporting more structurally demanding applications.
The 7-inch press is designed to support high-volume trim and smaller-profile products, including painted and finished components, enhancing Postle’s ability to meet near-term customer demand and maintain fast, dependable supply.
Both presses will be installed in a new 230,000-square-foot facility in Howe, Indiana, with additional room for future growth.
Summer Deliveries, Fall Production Timeline
Equipment deliveries are expected to begin summer 2026, with initial production targeted for early fall and full-rate operations anticipated by year-end. The expansion is also expected to create new manufacturing and skilled trade roles as production ramps up.
“This is a deliberate, forward-looking investment,” Smith added. “We’re not waiting for demand to peak before acting. We’re building capacity ahead of the curve so our customers can confidently plan their own growth knowing we’re ready to support them.”
