Hillsboro Industries Announces Executive Leadership Change

Hillsboro, Kansas- Michael Gerken has been serving as President and CEO. In the April meeting of the Board of Directors Mr. Gerken indicated he planned to step away from day-to-day operations in July of 2026. The board voted to appoint Christian Gerken as CEO effective 4/26/2026 to provide a transition period. Mr. Gerken will remain on as President of the company with Phil Wyssenbach as Chairman of the Board and Marv Schellenberg as Secretary Treasurer.

New Western Territory Manager

In April Tom Harris joined the team as the Western Territory Sales Manager. Tom brings over 20 years of dealership development and trailer sales background to Hillsboro. Tom joined Eric Olson who is the Eastern Territory Sales Manager, to enhance our sales team’s experience in assisting dealers with growth and general day-to-day sales. Randy Lewis is Director of Sales and Marketing for the company with over 80 years of sales experience combined in the trailer and truck bed industry.
