New Machitech Pipe Cut Cuts Pipe or Tube Cost-Effectively

Saint-Marc-des-Carrieres, QC -- The new Machitech Pipe Cut™ Industrial CNC Plasma Pipe Processing Machine is a cost-effective solution for manufacturers and fabricators to cut pipe or tube ranging from 2.5 inches up to 42 inches in diameter. Pipe Cut features a floating chuck system to prevent pipe slippage and can be ordered with a cutting zone length from 21 feet up to 42 feet, as well as a motorized in-feed conveyor with capabilities up to 60 feet. Pneumatic support rollers facilitate the automated process.

Pipe Cut delivers cutting speeds up to 500 IPM, maximum traverse speeds up to 800 IPM, repeatability of 0.001 inches, and positioning accuracy of 0.003 inches. Along with rigid gantry-style construction, the Pipe Cut features an automatic torch height controller, Bosh Rexroth AC servo motor drives, a patented inverted rail system, and weld preparation for miters, saddles, holes, slots, gussets, etc. It also has an automated chuck height and clamping system with a floating chuck for out-of-round pipes.

The Pipe Cut plasma system integrates the new and advanced Hypertherm XPR300™ HyDefinition® plasma system. The XPR300 represents a significant advance in mechanized plasma cutting technology for mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Other Hypertherm plasma cutting systems are also available.

Pipe Cut features the Machitech NX4 Touchscreen CNC Controller on a pedestal mount. Pype Server fabrication workflow software enables the pipe processing machine to cut parts directly from CAD systems.

Options include a 5-axis full contour bevel head, a plate cutting table, a 48-inch diameter pipe cutting capability, motorized in-feed and out-feed conveyors, a fume extraction system, and a security system with a pull-cord and light curtains.
