Type A vs Type B Exhibitors

To try and simplify the move-in process for 2023 NATDA Trailer Show Exhibitors, NATDA introduced the designation of Type A and Type B Exhibitors. The distinction determines not only the move-in times, but the move-in format for an Exhibitor.

Type A Exhibitors (Targeted Move-in Schedule)

Type A Exhibitors are those with trailers, truck beds and/or motorized vehicles as part of their booth display. NATDA uses a Targeted Move-in Schedule for these Exhibitors, loading each booth one-by-one from the front of the hall and working its way to the back. It's a very detailed process that requires two days of specific time and order setting.

Since Trailer or Truck Bed Manufacturers are required to bring a trailer or truck bed based on NATDA's Terms and Conditions, they are automatically included in the queue. However, all other companies must inform NATDA of their intent to add a trailer, truck bed, or motorized display to their booth so they may be added to the Move-in Schedule.

Type A Exhibitors are required to go to NATDA's Staging Lot to receive a Dock Pass prior to entering Music City Center. Exhibitors without a Dock Pass will NOT be allowed through the Music City Center gates.

Type B Exhibitors (Move-in Window Schedule)

Type B Exhibitors - those without trailers, truck beds and/or motorized vehicles as part of their booth display - are designated two move-in window times to complete their move-in process. However, the determination of that window is completely dependent on where the Exhibitor's booth is located in the hall. Due to the fact that NATDA is still moving large vehicles and trailers around on Tuesday, the Type B Exhibitors allowed in during this time is limited.  While some booths may have options for both windows, some are forced into the latter window. This usually applies to booths along the sides and back half of the hall.

Staging Lot Update (Type A Exhibitors ONLY)

This year's Staging Lot has been confirmed. Thank you for your patience as we worked with the parking vendor to secure this. I'm happy to announce that the lot will be the same one as last year, Lot N, located only a mile from Music City Center. You can download maps to and from the Music City Center using the buttons below as well.

Lot N

501 South 2nd Street

Nashville, TN 37213

Power Washing

As a reminder, NATDA offers power washing in the lot for a flat fee of $150. NATDA controls the schedule in which the trailers are washed as it's based on the Targeted Move-in Schedule, but it is set up as a drive-through station. However, we do ask that anyone using this upgrade arrive to the Staging Lot 30 minutes earlier than scheduled to account for this.

I will be setting up a page that lists all Staging Lot times for Type A Exhibitors as well, where I will denote Power Washing additions. You can access that by CLICKING HERE.

If you haven't purchased this upgrade yet, you can do so using clicking the button below. As this was an upgrade option at the time of your booth purchase, I encourage you to check your Booth Order Confirmation to keep from purchasing twice.

Overnight Parking in the Staging Lot (Entire Week)

As always, Exhibitors will have the option to purchase Weekly Overnight Parking in the Staging Lot. This only applies to those Exhibitors that are looking to leave vehicles in the lot for the duration of the entire show. This does not apply to an Exhibitor bringing the vehicle into the lot the day prior to their move-in. Please note there is NO security in this lot.

If you haven't purchased this upgrade yet, you can do so using clicking the button below. As this was an upgrade option at the time of your booth purchase, I encourage you to check your Booth Order Confirmation to keep from purchasing twice.

Registration Reminder

As a reminder, Exhibitor Badge Registration is not done through the NATDA website. Each Exhibitor's primary contact was emailed their specific access code and link. If you need this resent to you, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at corey@natda.org.

Set Up a Move-in Consultation

The move-in process can be a confusing one for companies unfamiliar with the process. To help your teams, please schedule a Move-in Consultation at your convenience. I'm happy to discuss the entire process and answer any specific questions you may have. You can schedule a time using the button below.

New Awards Programs

As a reminder, NATDA has added two additional award programs as well as modified one. I've provided further clarification on those below.

  • Most Innovative Trailer or Truck Bed Award - This award returns from last year. The NATDA Dealer Advisory Council votes on the trailers and truck beds they think are the most innovative. All submissions must have either (A) been released since the close of the 2022 NATDA Trailer Show or (B) be manufactured by a first-time exhibitor.
  • New Product Display - While this award has been a mainstay at the show, this year comes with some changes. The New Product Display is perfect for aftermarket parts or items that Dealers would stock in their dealership has part of their retail or service offerings. This display has moved out of the lounge and into the lobby.
  • Trailer Parts Expo Showcase - This new award category is aimed at products meant to be included during the manufacturing process for a trailer or truck bed. These products will be on display during the Trailer Parts Expo itself, and will remain on display during the entirety of the show in the Trailer Parts Expo Lounge.
  • NATDA Trailer Show Exhibition Awards - New this year, NATDA will award Exhibitors who have utilized their respective booth spaced in unique and aesthetically pleasing ways and that positively added to the overall atmosphere of the NATDA Trailer Show. All exhibitors are eligible and will be automatically entered into the following categories, provided they adhere to NATDA’s Good Neighbor Policy during the course of the show.
    • Best in Show (1,000-square-feet and greater)
    • Best in Show (Less than 1000-square-feet)
    • Best 10x10
    • Best New Exhibitor
