POSITION SUMMARY: Proactively manages parts and increases dealer awareness of our products and parts availability for combined shipment with existing scheduled trailer shipments. This position is responsible for direct upselling and cross selling of trailer parts and accessories. Functions as a technical advisor and business partner with the Alcom dealer base and is a go to person for advice on trailer repairs and upgrades relative to parts. Manages and coordinates the sales, order entry and shipping of parts and accessories. Also works closely with and supports the Warranty Team.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly sells parts and accessories to dealer base. (Business to Business)
  • Communicates in advance of trailer shipments to reduce freight and shipment cost to the dealer’s advantage and benefit (bundle shipment concept)
  • Answers dealer calls related to parts and accessory concerns, orders and shipment. · Corresponds timely to dealer calls and emails and provides status updates as to parts and accessory availability and shipment timing
  • May sell program parts and accessories on a scheduled timely basis with seasonal change over
  • Grows the parts and accessory dealer services to create dealer appreciation and recognition with a resulting belief that doing business with Alcom is a positive experience for both dealer’s and their customer base
  • Utilizes technical knowledge and understanding of trailer components, accessories and performance expectations Provides thorough and timely dealer correspondence and works as a business partner to the dealer
  • Maintains a positive and professional working relationship with dealers, peers, management, and support resources with a constant commitment towards teamwork and exemplary customer service
  • Also supports dealerships that are performing insurance claim work and provides price estimates. · Performs related duties as needed upon request by direct supervisor and or Company manage

Experience

Responsibilities/Measurements:

  • Parts and accessory order accuracy and timeliness of dealer communications and shipping
  • Dealer customer service satisfaction with respect to parts and accessories sales and shipments
  • Parts and accessory sales dollar growth.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Four or Two year college business degree preferred, but not necessary
  • Prior sales experience with parts and accessories of consumer goods or services preferred
  • Good mechanical aptitude of general assembly of methods and parts
  • Ability to maintain a professional Company image both during and off work hours
  • Ability to upsell and cross sell parts and accessories within the frame work of Alcom’s general sales programs and policies
  • Must have solid sales and negotiation skills
  • Must have the proper balance of interpersonal skill and business relationship savy to balance Company and Dealer interest with a general goal of creating a strong and committed long term business relationships
  • To make reasonable and fair decisions with a favored positive customer satisfaction outcome as a goal
  • Excellent; customer service, computer, time management and follow-up, oral and written communications skills
