Keynote Speaker: Sal Gonzalez 

Wounded Warrior Project

Music has always played an important role in Sal Gonzalez’s life. He grew up in the impoverished neighborhood of East Los Angeles, and as a teenager, music kept him out of trouble.  So did his decision to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

Sal enlisted in the infantry and was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines. In 2004, he was a machine gunner in Ramadi, Iraq, when his truck was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED). The blast left Sal with a traumatic brain injury (TBI), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and ultimately caused him to lose his left leg below the knee.

While he was still in a Maryland hospital, Sal received a Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) backpack full of comfort items and a promise that if he needed anything, WWP would be there to help. That gesture meant a lot to Sal, and once he got out of the hospital, he decided to get more involved. One of his first events with WWP was a multi-day mental health workshop called Project Odyssey® — and it changed his life. Despite his injury, he was able to rock climb with the group; and it proved he could still do anything he set his mind to.

With WWP by his side, Sal set out to help as many warriors as possible by sharing his experience and encouraging them to seek help. He also continued playing music — not only to process his own emotions and continue his recovery, but also to inspire other injured veterans to continue living their lives.

Sal remains grounded in his passion to help other warriors, even as his music career hits new highs. His talent has started to earn him national attention, including appearances on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and the television show “Nashville.” He also released his first EP, “Heroes,” in 2020. While many musicians strive to become famous, Sal is happy with his life right now.

Bill Snider


Currently, Bill has corporate responsibility for training on all Dexter products. He prepares training materials, creates training equipment, and manages training activities and customer events for Dexter. He provides training support to retail customers, trailer dealers, service facilities, OEM trailer manufacturers, and the internal staff of the Dexter/DexKo family of companies across the United States and Canada. Examples of training venues range greatly; from hands-on wrench turning with technicians on trailers and axles; to classroom technical training on axle engineering, to Dexter design and product applications; to customer training and customer service at large RV rallies.

Bill has 37 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer and also has a master’s degree in Business Administration. He started his career as an Engineering Officer in the US. Air Force. His ten years of service included developing munitions used in the Gulf Wars, off road trailer design and testing, and operation of and upgrades to rocket/jet engine test facilities and aircraft wind tunnels.

For eight years prior to joining Dexter, Bill was a Principal Engineer with an engineering consulting and training services company providing aerospace test support, process engineering, facility design services, and environmental assessment and remediation. Bill was a Dexter plant manager for 15 years, teaming with a 55 person staff to provide over 500,000 axles, 250,000 surge brake couplers, and a full range of related brake and chassis components to the premier OEM trailer builders and distributors in the marine and specialty trailer market.

Bill has over one hundred thousand miles of towing experience spread over a variety of Dexter utility, cargo, marine, and RV axles. He is passionate about the axles themselves as well as participating in all the fun things they allow us to do, and experiencing all the places they allow us to visit.

Bob Woodward

Bob Woodward is a Senior Management Consultant and Project Manager at Belfield Management Solutions.  Bob has an MBA and over 30 years of business experience as a CFO and management consultant, as well as having advised and served on boards of directors of both publicly traded and privately held companies.

Chris Castro

Chris has more than 17 years of experience in the financial and retirement industry and is known for helping financial advisors and TPAs grow their practices and create successful retirement plan programs for their clients. He prides himself on his responsiveness and accessibility and considers himself to be a member of his clients’ retirement plan team.

Chris’ wide range of experience and track record have earned him a reputation as a retirement plan authority who can provide industry expertise and effective business-building strategies.

Chris is based in Marina Del Rey, California, where he lives with his daughter.

Chris Dougherty

Charlie Dougherty is a vice president and economist with Wells Fargo’s Corporate and Investment Bank. Based in New York, he covers the U.S. economy with a focus on commercial real estate, housing, construction and regional sectors of the economy. He regularly writes indicator reports, produces special commentary, and contributes to the company’s Weekly Economic & Financial Commentary. His commentary on the U.S. economy has been featured in various regional and national media publications, including Bloomberg News, Yahoo Finance and The Washington Post. Before joining Wells Fargo in 2017, Charlie worked as a regional economist and consultant for IHS Markit and more recently for CertainTeed, one of the largest building product manufacturers in North America. Charlie holds a B.A. and B.S. in economics and finance from the University of Pittsburgh and a M.A. in economics from Temple University in Philadelphia. He is a member of the National Association of Business Economics, Philadelphia Council of Business Economics and Charlotte Economics Club.

David Whitlock

Trailer Specialist Consultant David Whitlock has been in the trailer industry for over thirty years.  His experience includes time as a Salesman, Parts Manager, Service Manager, General Manager, Manufacturing Representative and even a General Manager of a trailer manufacturing plant.

Graham Anderson


Graham is the Co-Founder and the Chief Sales Officer of the dealership text messaging and reputation management company, Kenect. Graham is a serial entrepreneur and has been creating technologies to benefit small business owners for almost a decade now. Prior to that, he started his career in the television industry with NBC Universal in Beijing, China and New York City, working on a variety of projects including the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, the Super Bowl, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and Saturday Night Live.

Jared Medhus


Jared Medhus is currently the Director of Sales for Galeo, focusing on building dealership channels for the Galeo Pro and Galeo Ride product lines.  Before that he served as Manager of Customer Service and Inside Sales for Galeo's parent company, Appareo. Prior to joining Appareo, Jared spent the previous 17 years in sales and operations in the Oil and Gas industry. He has a diverse background in equipment, rail, chemistry, and other areas that have given him a broad perspective across all facets of the businesses he has worked in. When not working, Jared enjoys spending time with his wife and their 7-year-old twin sons, coaching their soccer and hockey teams.

Jeff Jones

Jeff Jones, National Trailer Sales Manager at Statistical Surveys, Inc., is a Texas native.  He has over 36 years of sales and management experience in the trailer manufacturing industry. He joined Statistical Surveys, Inc. seven years ago where his responsibilities include developing and maintaining successful business relationships as well as increasing sales and providing excellent customer service.  Jeff publishes trailer stats for the NATDA and NATM trade magazines.  His exceptional work ethic and attention to detail in leading a sales team has rewarded him with a very successful sales career which he is now applying in his role as National Trailer Sales Manager at Statistical Surveys.  He has been married for 43 years and has three children and six grandkids that he spoils as much and as often as he can. 

Jeff J. Kim, CFP

Jeff J. Kim is the founder and managing principal at Larchmont Financial, specializing in 401(k) and corporate retirement plans. Prior to finding Larchmont Financial in 2011, he spent combined years at a Fortune 100 Company and a boutique firm working with AT&T, Verizon and Northrop Grumman's employee benefit packages as well as California's government pension programs.

Jeff is based in Los Angeles, California and just welcomed his son Jun Morgan with his wife Stephanie and his dog Singha.

Jeff Murphy is the Director of Hydraulic Sales with Premium Supply. Premium Supply specializes in dump trailer hoists as well as hydraulic pumps, cylinders, hoses, fittings, and hydraulic jacks. Jeff has over 30 years of experience in the trailer industry with a background in fluid power which is hydraulics and pneumatics.

Ken Barnes

Born and raised in a small town in Northeast Oklahoma, Ken grew up working on cars.  He spent 25 years in Fixed Operations Departments, working for franchised Auto and RV Dealers.  First as a Technician, then Shop Foreman and ultimately Fixed Operations Director for a large dealer organization overseeing 300 employees, grossing over $900,000 per month in Fixed Ops.
