NHTSA requires that all Tire Dealers/OEMs provide the end consumer with a method of registration for their new tire purchases as service replacements or on new trailers. Previously, registration methods required the cumbersome use of printed tire cards that had to be filled out and then mailed - each time a new trailer or new tires were sold to retail customers.
