Provo, UT (September 27, 2018) – For over 70 years Equal-i-zer hitch, and more recently Fastway Trailer Products, have been leaders in the towing industry. This could not have been achieved without superior products that perform as advertised, and the support of a dealer base that understands towing and its customer.

“We would not be where we are today without support from our dealers,” said Jed Anderson, CEO. “We are grateful for the relationships we have and for the opportunity to work together toward each other’s success.”

“Together, we are able to provide an unparalleled level of customer satisfaction by offering the highest quality towing products, outstanding technical assistance, and superior customer service.” Anderson said.

When products are advertised at prices too low to maintain these levels of service and quality, re-sellers and users of our products suffer. Maintaining experienced, well trained, and capable staff and facilities is key to customer satisfaction. Without proper margins dealers are put in the uncomfortable position of losing sales, cutting corners or netting loss on a transaction. This damages the mutual efforts to take care of customers.

To protect the Equal-i-zer and Fastway brands and the service that goes along with them, Progress Mfg. is excited to announce a new Brand Protection Program that includes a Minimum Advertised Price policy and Authorized Reseller policies.

On October 15, 2018 Progress Mfg.’s Authorized Reseller policies will become effective and the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy will go into effect December 3, 2018.

Dealers who are interested in learning about the complete policy can access it here. Some of the key points of the new policies include:

  • After October 15, 2018 products of Progress Mfg. will only be sold to authorized dealers/resellers. Only those granted written approval will be permitted to sell Progress Mfg. products on marketplace websites like Amazon and eBay.
  • When the MAP policy goes into effect December 3, 2018 anyone who advertises products covered by the MAP policy will be subject to the unilaterally applied Minimum Advertised Price policy.

“We are grateful for the support from our dealers/distributors and for the input that has been given. As with other brands who have implemented such policies, we fully anticipate the Progress Mfg. Brand Protection Program to be a win-win for all who sell and use the products of Progress Mfg.” said Jed Anderson.
