14 Wells Cargo Kitchen Trailers Going to Haiti

Fourteen mobile kitchen trailers from Elkhart, Ind.-based Wells Cargo are taking part in the Haitian relief effort.

The trailers can supply around 1,000 meals per hour. In June, Wells Cargo's Florida-based dealer, WorldWide Trailer Sales, partnered with the Dominican Republican government to design 28 trailers for relief during disasters. Ten trailers were sent to Haiti immediately after the earthquake. Four more followed, and more may be sent in the future, according to The Elkhart Truth.

Federal officials are asking area relief organizations interested in helping with the relief effort to stay put for the time being and mobilize monetary and other donations.
